The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be closing the CBSE class 10 and 12 registration window for private candidates today, October 18, 2023.
Candidates eligible to appear for the 2023-24 board exams can visit the official website of the CBSE at cbse.gov.in to submit the registrations.
Candidates will be able to submit their application after October 18, by paying a late fee. This extended period of application round will be open till October 25, 2023.
The CBSE 2024 exams for private candidates are tentatively scheduled to take place between February to April 2024, along with the main examinations for regular candidates.
Candidates who had to reappear for exams or were placed in compartments in their initial attempt, including failed or essential repeat students from 2018 to 2022, are eligible to apply. Similarly, those who graduated in 2022 or 2023 and intend to enhance their scores in one or more subjects are also eligible to apply.
Here is how to register for the CBSE exams in 2024-
Step 1: Go to the official CBSE website by visiting cbse.gov.in.
Step 2: Look for and click on the link specifically designated for private candidate applications.
Step 3: Select the relevant application link and input all the necessary details as prompted.
Step 4: Process the application fee payment and ensure to save the duly filled application form.
Step 5: Finally, submit the completed application form to successfully register for the CBSE exams.
As part of the 2024 examination application process, candidates must also remit the application fee along with their forms. Students are expected to submit an application fee of Rs. 1500, and those applying for additional subjects should include an additional fee of Rs. 300 per subject.
