CBSE Board Exam 2024: Last date to submit LOC for classes 10, 12 today; check key details



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conclude the submission process for the List of Candidates (LOC) for classes 10 and 12 in 2024, today, September 28.
The registration process, initially started on August 18, and was originally supposed to end on September 18 but had been been extended until today. The CBSE had earlier stated that there would be no additional extension for the LOC form submission deadline.
Submissions can be made on CBSE’s official websites: cbse.gov.in and cbse.nic.in, through the e-pariksha link made available there. The option to the CBSE Class 10th and 12th LOC, along with a late fee, will be available till October 5, 2023.
According to the official notification, the deadline to submit the CBSE LOC form without incurring a late fee is September 28, 2023. For those who choose to apply with a late fee, the last date is October 5, 2023.
CBSE stated that schools will submit the LOC for all eligible students, including those who are planning to take the exam as private candidates. Schools will have to ensure that the data submitted in the LOC is accurate and complete. Any changes in the data after the LOC has been submitted will not be allowed. Further, that schools must submit the LOC on or before the deadline, as no extensions will be granted.
The official statement states that the board will hold the 2024 examinations starting on February 15, 2024.
CBSE has instructed schools to gather students’ requests for subject changes and forward them collectively to the respective regional office. In addition to this, schools have also been notified to gather attendance data for classes 10 and 12 till January 1 and submit the same by January 5. Any discrepancies will be brought to the attention of the schools by January 15, they will then have until January 20 to make the necessary corrections.
CBSE board exam for 10th and 12th is one of the largest exams in the country. In 2023, over 32 million students appeared for the CBSE board exams, making it the largest single-day examination in the world. The CBSE board exams are held every year in March, and students from all over India and abroad appear for the exams. The CBSE board exams are conducted for over 200 subjects and are held in over 7,000 centers across India and abroad.
