Bihar Police SI Recruitment: 1288 positions approved, sports quota included



BPSSC Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2023: Additional Director General of Police, Headquarters, Jitendra Singh Gangwar, during a press conference held at the Police Headquarters in Patna announced that the Bihar Government’s Home Department has approved the recruitment roster for filling up 1288 vacancies of Bihar Police Sub Inspector in the state.
Gangwar further disclosed that the requisition for Bihar Police Sub Inspector recruitment would soon be dispatched to the Under Service Commission for further action.
Among the total of 1288 posts, a notable 13 positions will be reserved for candidates under the sports quota, offering athletes an exciting opportunity to join the police force.
With the approval from the Bihar government, the recruitment advertisement for Sub Inspectors, known as BPSSC SI Notification 2023, is expected to be published in October 2023. This announcement comes on the heels of the recent appointment of 21391 constables within the department, and the process for the reinstatement of 1275 sub-inspectors is set to commence.
For aspiring candidates, the eligibility criteria may require a graduation qualification, while the maximum age limit for the general category could be set at 37 years, with relaxations available for reserved categories as per the rules.
