Noida: Positive outcomes have begun to emerge following a recent meeting between Noida MLA Pankaj Singh and a delegation of villagers led by Dr. Ranjan Tomar, President of the Noida Village Residents Association, and BJP leader Amit Tyagi. Acting on the MLA’s directions, officials from the Noida Authority visited Bhangel on Tuesday to inspect problems related to the elevated road.

During the inspection, Noida Authority DGM Vijay Rawal reviewed the route connecting NEPZ to Bhangel, with a large number of local market representatives present. After discussions with residents and traders, key agreements were reached to address long-pending connectivity issues.

Side Road to Open Within a Week

DGM Vijay Rawal assured that the side road along the elevated corridor will be repaired and opened within one week. He directed subordinate Project Engineer Pradeep Sahu to complete the work on a priority basis, including road repairs, the installation of height barriers on both sides, and the placement of necessary directional and cautionary signage.

It was also decided that the residents’ organization and market associations would coordinate with Noida Traffic Police officials to ensure police deployment on the route for some time after reopening, in order to prevent traffic congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement.

Long Detours Causing Public Hardship

The Bhangel–Salarpur market is one of the largest rural markets in Noida, serving lakhs of residents daily. People from over a dozen nearby sectors and villages depend on this market for daily needs. Due to the closure of the route, commuters and traders were forced to take detours of several kilometers, resulting in significant inconvenience and economic losses for local businesses.

Local Representatives Present

Several prominent local representatives were present during the inspection, including Bhangel RWA President Sandeep Tyagi, NOVRA General Secretary Punit Rana, Mobile Store Association representatives Amit Chauhan and Rajender Kar, Nambardar Mehar Chand Tyagi, Mukesh Sharma, and members of the Bhangel–Salarpur Vyapari Mandal, including Pankaj Tyagi, Dinesh Tyagi, Nitin Tyagi, Virender Singh, Shahnawaz Chauhan, Rajender Kumar, Parma, Neeraj Tyagi among others.

Residents and traders expressed hope that the promised timeline will be adhered to, bringing long-awaited relief to thousands of daily commuters and business owners in the area.
