
Greater Noida: The menace of stray dogs in Sector Beta-1 is becoming increasingly alarming, with frequent attacks creating fear among residents. Incidents of dog bites, especially targeting elderly women, children and others, are being reported regularly, raising serious safety concerns in the area. In the latest incident, a resident, Rainu Verma, was bitten by a stray dog.

According to residents, this is not an isolated case. So far, at least three women have been attacked, leading to growing anger and anxiety within the community.


The issue has been raised multiple times with the Greater Noida Authority and the health department. He emphasised the urgent need for a vaccination drive against rabies and a sterilisation campaign to control the stray dog population.

Despite repeated complaints, no concrete action has been taken by the authorities so far, worsening the situation. Residents warn that if immediate steps are not taken, the area could witness more serious incidents in the coming days.
