Greater Noida: Residents of Sector Beta 1 have raised serious concerns over a sewer overflow issue near House No. E-3, where a large pit has also formed, posing a potential safety hazard for pedestrians and vehicles.
Overflowing sewer adds to residents’ woes
The continuous overflow of sewage in the area has led to unhygienic conditions, foul smell and inconvenience for residents. Residents say the issue has persisted for several days, affecting daily movement and raising concerns about public health.
Large pit near E-3 becomes safety risk
Adding to the problem, a deep and expanding pit has developed near the same location. Residents fear that the unattended pit could lead to accidents, especially during night hours or for children and elderly people.
Call for immediate action
Residents have urged the Greater Noida Authority’s sewer department to take immediate action to resolve the issue. They have also tagged officials, including the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar and local MLA, seeking urgent intervention. The situation highlights the need for prompt civic response to prevent further deterioration and ensure safety in the sector.
