Beta-1 : Residents raise concern over garbage dumping, Demand strict action

Greater Noida: A cleanliness-related issue has surfaced in Sector Beta-1, where residents have complained about garbage being dumped along the roadside near residential properties. The incident has triggered concerns over sanitation, public hygiene and civic responsibility within the sector.

According to residents, heaps of waste were found dumped near homes and on public roads, creating an unpleasant environment and raising fears of health hazards. Residents have urged the Health Department of the Greater Noida Authority to take strict action against those responsible and impose substantial penalties to discourage such practices.

Residents Seek Intervention From Health Department

Residents informed that they have contacted the Greater Noida Authority’s Health Department and requested officials to investigate the matter. They have demanded that the source of the waste be traced and appropriate action be taken against the violators under sanitation and public cleanliness norms.

The complaint highlights growing frustration among residents who believe that irresponsible disposal of household waste not only spoils the appearance of the neighbourhood but also poses risks to public health.

Allegations Against Residents of Specific Houses

As per information shared by residents, the garbage was allegedly dumped by occupants of houses numbered A-345 and 321 in Sector Beta-1. The waste was reportedly thrown near another resident’s property instead of being disposed of through the designated collection system.

Residents claim that one of the individuals involved admitted to dumping the garbage on the roadside and acknowledged the mistake when confronted. The admission has strengthened demands for action to ensure such incidents are not repeated.

Demand for Heavy Penalties to Curb Violations

Residents have called upon the Greater Noida Authority to adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards illegal waste dumping. They argue that imposing heavy fines on violators will send a strong message and encourage better civic behaviour across the city.

Many residents stressed that maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility and that cooperation from all households is essential to keep residential sectors clean, healthy and livable.

Civic Responsibility Key to a Clean City

The incident has once again highlighted the importance of proper waste disposal and community participation in maintaining urban cleanliness. Residents have urged all citizens to use authorized garbage collection services and avoid dumping waste in public spaces, which can lead to environmental and health concerns for the entire neighbourhood.
