Bad news for the flat buyers of Jaypee Group

Greater Noida : According to the Special Development Zone (SDZ) project located in the Yamuna Authority area, Yamuna Authority is going to cancel the group housing plots sub-leased by Jaypee Group to 17 companies. For this, the authority has also issued notices to all of them and given them time to respond within a week.

According to the authority, the land was given to Jaypee Group for this project in 2009, but even after 14 years, these 17 sublessee companies of Jaypee neither did any construction work on these plots nor ever contacted to get the map passed. Due to this, now the authority is going to cancel them.

In Sector 25, Yamuna Authority allotted 1000 hectares of land to JP Associates under the SDZ project in 2009. In which 32 group housing projects were to be built on about 600 acres of land. Out of these, 11 group housing projects were to be built by JP itself. In which construction work is going on on some and some are stuck. The plots of the remaining 19 group housing projects were sub-leased by the builder to other companies.

But banks were also among the sub-leased companies. According to the land use, only group housing projects could be developed on these, no matter who prepared them. Out of these 19, the sublessee companies of 17 group housing plots (which were sub-leased by the builder) neither got any construction work done on them in 14 years nor got any map passed. Along with this, no information was given to the authorities about selling them to someone else.

One week for reply

Let us tell you that the Buddha International Circuit located on the Yamuna Expressway is also a part of the SDZ project. It was built by the builder himself but JP Associates did not pay the money to the authority for the land on which it is built. Due to this, the authority has also cancelled this plot. A case is going on in the court between the authority and the builder to get it restored. Restoration has not happened yet.

Dr Arunvir Singh, CEO of Yamuna Authority, said that in the SDZ project, the authority had allotted one thousand hectares of land to the builder in 2009. In this, the builder has sub-leased 17 group housing plots to other companies. According to this scheme, construction was to be done on these plots within a fixed time. Now that deadline has ended but no map has come for approval yet. For this reason, preparations have started to cancel them. One week has been given for a reply.
