Greater Noida West: The first Lohri was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in ATS Homecraft Nobility Society of Greater Noida West. During Lohri, all the people of the society had a lot of fun. During this, women had a lot of fun with Bhangra and Gidda. Everyone together decorated the wood for the Lohri fire. As soon as the fire was lit, people congratulated each other on Lohri. After lighting the fire, everyone circled it, touched the feet of elders and took their blessings and wished everyone a happy life.
Women and men danced to Bhangra on Lohri songs. Also, Bhangra and Gidda dance was performed to beats of the drum.
Women sang Punjabi folk songs of Lohri. After this, prasad made of peanuts, Revdi and corn was distributed and all the residents also enjoyed traditional delicious food.
