
Noida: A grand cultural programme titled “Atal Swaranjali” was organised at Talkatora Indoor Stadium by the Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar Smriti Nyas, paying tribute to the enduring legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The event witnessed the distinguished presence of noted educationist and former Union Minister Murli Manohar Joshi as the chief guest. Former Union Minister Ashwini Choubey also graced the occasion. Shailendra Mishra, President of the International Maithili Council, formally inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
A tribute through music and poetry
Dedicated to Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the programme stood out as an emotionally rich and inspiring tribute. Through folk music and poetic renditions in multiple languages, the event aimed to bring Vajpayee’s thoughts and literary contributions closer to the masses.
The performances highlighted his ideological depth and literary brilliance, reinforcing the importance of cultural unity and inspiring younger generations to connect with India’s rich heritage.




Unique multilingual performance steals the spotlight
One of the most remarkable highlights of the evening was a performance by renowned singer Priya Mallik, popularly known as the daughter of Mithila. She presented an unprecedented musical tribute by rendering 22 poems of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in all 22 languages listed under the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution, all on a single stage.
The performance received widespread appreciation for its artistic excellence and cultural inclusivity. On the same occasion, a book featuring these 22 poems along with their musical interpretations was also officially released.
Atalaratna honour conferred
During the event, the Rashtrakavi Ramdhari Singh Dinkar Smriti Nyas and singer Priya Mallik jointly honoured Shailendra Mishra with the prestigious Atal Ratna Samman in recognition of his contributions.
