Assam DElEd 2023: Round 2 allotment result postponed; Check important updates



The Assam State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has postponed the declaration of results for Assam DElEd 2023 round 2 seat allotment.
According the official notice, the delay is due to certain unavoidable circumstances that the Council is facing: “It is for information to all concerned that the result of allotment of institute for round 2 scheduled to be published on 11th October,2023 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.”
The notice further said that the Revised schedule for the admission process will be published shortly.
Candidates who are awaiting results can periodically visit the official website- https://scertpet.co.in/, for any updates on the round 2 allotment results.
The Assam DElEd PET is a competitive entrance exam conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Assam, for admission to the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) course in the state. The exam is held once a year.
The exam is conducted in offline mode and consists of two parts:
Part I: General Knowledge and Mental Ability (100 questions)
Part II: Teaching Aptitude (100 questions)
Each part carries 100 marks, for a total of 200 marks. The exam is of two hours duration.
The Assam DElEd 2023 results were declared on September 24, 2023. After the declaration of results, candidates who have qualified for the exam are called for counselling.
During counselling process, candidates are allotted seats in Elementary education colleges on the basis of their rank in the exam.
The counseling process started on October 3, 2023, and the first round of seat allotment results was declared on October 5, 2023. The second round of seat allotment results was expected to be released on October 11, 2023.
The counseling process is conducted online by SCERT, Assam. Candidates who have qualified for the exam can register for counseling on the official website of SCERT, Assam. After registration, candidates need to fill in their preferences for DElEd colleges. Based on their preferences and rank in the exam, candidates will be allotted seats in DElEd colleges.
If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, they can participate in the subsequent rounds of counseling. However, if a candidate does not participate in the counseling process or does not accept the allotted seat, they will not be able to take admission to a DElEd college in that year.
The physical admission process for the Assam DElEd course is currently underway. Candidates who have been allotted seats in DElEd colleges need to report to the allotted college for physical admission and document verification by October 16, 2023. However, due to the postponement of the result declaration for round 2, the reporting date for candidates are likely to change.
