AP NEET PG Counselling 2023: Phase 1 admissions cancelled due to fake NMC permission letters



NEW DELHI: Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences has cancelled the AP NEET PG Phase 1 Admissions 2023. In a notice released by the university on Thursday, it is mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh postgraduate medical admissions, conducted under NEET PG Phase 1 counselling 2023 have been cancelled due to a fake letter of permission released on the behalf of president of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) to Santhiram Medical College, Kurnool.
National Medical Commission (NMC) Delhi stated that MARB has not released any letter for renewal and permission for increasing the MS seats for Santhiram Medical College.
The commission has warned candidates about the circulation of fake permission letters that claimed seat expansion in MS Ophthalmology from 5 to 10, MD General Medicine from 7 to 24, and MS ENT from 1 to 4.
The university will release the NEET PG phase 1 counselling notification for exercising new web options along with the revised seat matrix in due course.
“In continuation to this Office Notification vide reference 2nd cited, it is hereby notified that the Phase-I admissions into Competent Authority Quota (In-service & Non-service) and Management Quota for PG(Medical) courses for the academic year 2023-24 are herewith stands cancelled. Phase-I Notification for exercising fresh web options along with the revised Seat Matrix will be released by the University shortly,” reads the official notice.
