AP EDCET 2023: Counselling begins tomorrow at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in; Check important details here



The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) is scheduled to initiate the AP EDCET counselling for 2023, on September 30 at the official website- https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EDCET/Edcet/
The counselling process will be conducted by the Andhra University on behalf of APSCHE.
The counselling process will include multiple stages such as registration, upload documents, seat allocation round and college reporting.
Candidates will have to pay a fee as per the notification:

OC / BC Rs 1200
SC / ST / PH Rs 600

Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the counselling round is as follows

Requirement Criteria
Domicile
  • The candidate must be an Indian.
  • Must satisfy the Local/Non-local status as per Andhra Pradesh Educational Institute.
Educational Qualification
  • Must have completed or be appearing for final year exams of B.Sc./B.Com/B.A./BBM and BCA.
  • Minimum 50% in graduation/post-graduation. 5-year integrated course in relevant subjects also eligible.
  • B.Tech or B.E (with Maths and Physics) with 50% marks eligible.
Age Limit
  • Minimum age: 19 years at the time of application.
  • No upper age limit.
Reservation
  • Reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, OBC-C, OBC-D, OBC-E) eligible.
  • Physically handicapped candidates must have at least 40% marks in the last qualifying exam.

Important list of documents for verification round
Candidates must ensure that the following list of documents is kept ready for the document verification round:

  • AP EDCET 2023 Hall Ticket
  • AP EDCET 2023 Rank Card
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Degree Marks Memos or Consolidated Marks Memo
  • Degree Provisional Certificate
  • Intermediate Marks Memo or Diploma Marks Memo
  • SSC or similar Marks Memo
  • Study Certificates from Class IX to Degree
  • Residence Certificate (for candidates without institutionalized education in AP State)
  • Residence certificate of parents in AP for 10 years (if applicable)
  • Latest Income Certificate or Ration Card with the candidate’s name
  • Caste Certificate (for SC / ST / BC category applicants)
  • Latest Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate (if applicable)
  • Local status certificate (where applicable)

The Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (AP EDCET) 2023 was held on June 14. Subsequently, results were released on July 14.
It is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the APSCHE for admission to the regular 2-year B. Ed course offered by the colleges of Education in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
AP EDCET is a two-hour exam comprising 150 multiple-choice questions. There are four sections in the AP EDCET examination, namely:

  • General English
  • General Knowledge
  • Teaching Aptitude
  • Methodology

Candidates who qualify in the AP EDCET exam are eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission to B. Ed colleges in Andhra Pradesh.
