Antriksh Golf View 2 : Residents face severe water shortage amid developer dispute

Residents allege that the developer is billing them for tanker water through inflated maintenance charges. Recently, around 400 flat owners received texts demanding Rs 29,500 each for new water connections, a burden many say is unfair given the ongoing shortage.

Noida : Residents of Antriksh Golf View 2, Sector 78, Noida have been grappling with water shortages for the past three months, relying heavily on private tankers to meet daily needs. The crisis stems from the developer’s failure to secure adequate water connections from the Noida Authority, leaving a supply gap across 1,055 flats in 12 towers.

Residents allege that the developer is billing them for tanker water through inflated maintenance charges. Recently, around 400 flat owners received texts demanding Rs 29,500 each for new water connections, a burden many say is unfair given the ongoing shortage.

The builder obtained water connections for only 650 flats when possession began in 2016. The remaining 445 flats share this limited supply, causing low pressure and erratic water availability.

Ranjan Samantry, Resident

Last month, 306 tankers delivered 72 lakh liters of water at a cost of Rs 5.9 lakh, billed to residents. We are forced to use low-quality tanker water while buying drinking water separately. The situation is pathetic and unsustainable.

Ramesh Arora, project head of Colorful Estate Pvt Ltd, which manages the facility, acknowledged the shortage but blamed insufficient supply from the Authority.

We’ll apply for additional connections, expected to be approved within two weeks. Residents will be charged accordingly.
