Greater Noida West : Tension escalated late at night in Amrapali Golf Homes and Kingswood Society after residents alleged a major “security scam” involving inflated billing and poor on-ground security deployment. The situation turned volatile as angry residents staged a protest and police had to be called in to control the unrest.

Billing for 175 guards, only 28 were found on the ground

Residents claimed that despite being billed every month for around 175 security guards, the actual number of guards present in the society was shockingly low. During a surprise headcount conducted by residents on the same night, only 28 guards were found deployed across the premises. This discrepancy raised serious concerns about financial irregularities and possible fraud in the security management system.

Fake attendance and suspected financial irregularities

According to residents, the attendance register allegedly shows full deployment of guards, indicating that fake entries may have been made to justify inflated bills. Residents believe that this could point to a large-scale financial scam where society funds are being misused. They further alleged that despite over six months since the current security agency took charge, the actual security arrangements remain weak and unreliable.

Allegations of collusion

Residents have directly accused the ad-hoc AOA and the security agency of collusion. They described the situation as a “planned operation” where full payments are being made without corresponding services being delivered. The matter intensified when those responsible reportedly failed to produce the attendance register when questioned, further deepening suspicion among residents.

Protest turns chaotic, Police called

As anger grew, residents forced the available guards to leave the society gates in protest. This led to a tense situation, prompting authorities to call the police to restore order. Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with heated arguments and growing frustration among residents over what they called a betrayal of trust.

Residents demand high-level probe

Residents have demanded an immediate high-level investigation into the matter. They are calling for a detailed audit of the security contracts, verification of guard deployment records and strict legal action against those found guilty. They have also urged authorities to ensure a transparent and robust security system in society without further delay.

Warning of a larger protest

Residents warned that if timely action is not taken, they will be forced to launch a larger agitation in the coming days. They emphasized that the issue is not just about negligence but a serious financial scam directly impacting every household in society.
