Greater Noida West: The sacred festival of Maha Shivratri was celebrated with immense devotion, discipline and grandeur at the Ramashwar Mahadev Temple, in Amrapali Golf Homes and Kingswood Society. The spiritual atmosphere throughout the day reflected deep faith, unity and collective enthusiasm among residents.
Auspicious beginning with maha rudrabhishek
The celebrations commenced during Brahma Muhurta with a grand Rudrabhishek, where devotees offered holy water, milk and sacred items to Lord Shiva, while Vedic chants resonated through the temple premises. The early morning ritual set a serene and spiritually charged tone for the day.
Five-kund havan for universal peace
At 10:15 am, a five-kund havan was conducted with elaborate Vedic rituals. Priests performed the ceremony with precise mantra recitations, praying for universal welfare, prosperity, harmony and good health for all. The sacred fire ritual drew active participation from families across both societies. Following the havan, prasad was distributed among devotees, symbolising blessings and divine grace.
Divine evening shringar and maha aarti
The evening session witnessed a beautifully adorned idol of Lord Bhole Nath. The temple was illuminated with decorative lights and floral arrangements. The Maha Aarti, performed in the presence of hundreds of devotees, created a powerful spiritual resonance as chants of “Har Har Mahadev” filled the air.
Throughout the day, nearly four thousand devotees from the societies offered water and milk to Lord Shiva, expressing unwavering faith and devotion.
