Noida : Residents of Sector 51 are living under constant fear as repeated incidents of vandalism, illegal entry and open drug trade continue right under the nose of city authorities. The latest viral video from Sector 51 has once again exposed the lack of strict action by the police, leaving locals outraged and distressed.

According to the General Secretary of RWA Sector 51, criminal elements break locks of Gate No. 12 frequently, eight times in just the last 15 days. Despite efforts by the RWA to reinforce security by installing an additional gate, miscreants brazenly broke the D-Block park gate and grills on Diwali night to create another illegal access route.

Every day, 500–600 unauthorized individuals including workers, domestic helpers, drivers, painters and drug peddlers are reported to be entering the sector through this illegal route. Security guards who try to stop them often face abuse and physical assault.

I say this with no hesitation, the primary reason behind this situation is weak police patrolling and lax enforcement.

Sanjeev Kumar, General Secretary, RWA 51

Residents claim that open sale of marijuana (ganja) and other illegal activities are rampant near Gate No. 12. Despite multiple complaints via Twitter and WhatsApp to senior police officials, no visible action has been taken.

The broken park grills were reported two days ago to the Noida Authority’s Horticulture Department, urging immediate repair. But the response has been slow, leaving the sector vulnerable. The latest video has spread panic among residents who say such incidents occur frequently, yet police fail to arrest those responsible.

The RWA now hopes that with the video widely circulated, the authorities will act swiftly:

We expect the police to take immediate action, release the second part of the investigation report, and ensure these culprits are put in the right place behind bars.

Sanjeev Kumar, Sector 51

Residents urge intensified night patrolling, better surveillance and swift crackdown on illegal entry points to restore safety and order in Sector 51.
