Greater Noida West: Ajnara Homes is facing so many problems back to back. On Tuesday, May 21, 2024 society residents were stuck in a lift for more than half an hour. The team coming to rescue them also got stuck in another lift. It took earnest efforts of security guards to take them out.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Tribhuvan Tiwari was stuck in the lift with his wife for about 35 minutes in Tower J. The rescue team coming from another lift to rescue them also got stuck in another lift. The security personnel got them out after a lot of hard work. At 7 o’clock, the 70-year-old father of Manpreet Oberoi, a resident of Tower O, was stuck in the lift for about 15 minutes along with a few other residents. According to him, there was a strong jolt in the lift and the lift suddenly stopped.
The new maintenance agency is unable to work properly
Residents say, “About one and a half months ago, the maintenance agency JLL left the job due to a dispute over money with the builder. The new agency has been working for about one and a half months but the matter is getting worse. The builder had said that change in the maintenance agency was in the interest of the residents, but for the last one-and-a-half months, the residents have been very upset.
No effort was ever made to get the problem solved
Residents informed that in the last month, many people have got stuck in the lift. This week, Pankaj Bansal was stuck with his wife, child and others in Tower B-1. Many residents have been stuck in these two lifts before also. Both the lifts of Tower G remained closed for a long time. Last week, residents were stuck twice in the lift of Tower M.
Residents allege that despite so many cases of lift getting stuck, no effort has been made to fix the problem. Every time an attempt is made to make up for it by saying that there is a technical error in the lift.
DG backup is insufficient
After the incident of the lift getting stuck, the residents came to know that the battery-operated ARD system in the lift did not work. Due to this, in case of fluctuation or cut in the electric supply, the lift gets stuck instead of opening on the nearest floor. DG backup is also not sufficient in society.
Chandan Sinha, President says, “The maintenance of the society is all together with the builder management. In case of repeated lift jam, the maintenance team and the lift maintenance agency will have to take responsibility. Lift jam can be fatal at any time. Not giving any reason when asked and not showing seriousness towards this big problem is indicative of negligence of maintenance. Further, they demanded the maintenance team to share some other details publicly, including a lift emergency helpline and sufficient ARD batteries, solid backup capacity and installed backup capacity, distributed main line (NPCL) capacity and purchasing capacity. In case of no reduction in lift accidents and no immediate improvement, the residents have warned of a big protest and also warned of stopping paying maintenance charges.
