Greater Noida: A delegation from the Active Citizen Team met Dadri MLA Tejpal Nagar at Eeta-1, Greater Noida, and submitted a memorandum demanding the establishment of government hospitals instead of private ones on plots identified by the Greater Noida Authority.

As per the memorandum, the Authority has floated a bidding scheme offering four plots for private hospitals. However, the team strongly opposed this move, stating that private healthcare facilities already outnumber government hospitals in the region. They questioned why more private hospitals are being planned when there is an urgent need for affordable government-run medical services.

The delegation suggested that the Authority should avoid selling these hospital plots to private players and instead construct government hospitals on its own and hand them over to public institutions for operation. This, they believe, would significantly reduce the cost burden on citizens and ensure better access to affordable healthcare.

Responding positively to the concerns, MLA Mr. Tejpal Nagar assured the delegation that he would take up the issue not only with the local authority but also at the state government level in Lucknow. He emphasised that “quality and affordable healthcare is the right of every citizen and must be made available to all.”

Key members present during the submission of the memorandum included Manjeet Singh, Sadhana Sinha, Anju Pundeer, Harendra Bhati, Alok Singh, Sunil Pradhan, Ramesh Premchandani, and Sajal Pundeer.
