The organisation has urged the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration to inspect all petrol pumps and take action against operators failing to provide basic amenities.
Noida: The Confederation of NCR Residents Welfare Associations (CONRWA) has urged the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration to take action on the alleged lack of basic public facilities at petrol pumps across the district. In a letter dated September 25, 2026, the organisation highlighted the absence of adequate drinking water, toilets and seating arrangements despite repeated complaints to the authorities.
Addressing the district magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar, CONRWA stated that it had previously raised the issue with the concerned officials. The organisation also referred to a complaint submitted on May 4, 2026, seeking intervention and necessary action.
However, according to the letter, there has been no significant improvement in the situation, with conditions at petrol pumps remaining largely unchanged.
Women, children and senior citizens face difficulties
CONRWA said the lack of basic amenities at petrol pumps is causing inconvenience to the public, particularly women, children and senior citizens.
The organisation emphasised the need for clean drinking water, functional toilet facilities and proper seating arrangements to ensure that people visiting petrol pumps have access to essential public amenities.
It also expressed concern over the alleged lack of concrete action against petrol pump operators despite repeated representations to the authorities.
CONRWA demands inspection of all petrol pumps
The organisation has requested the district administration to conduct a fresh inspection or survey of all petrol pumps in Gautam Buddh Nagar to assess the availability and condition of public facilities.
It has called for strict action, as per applicable rules, against petrol pump operators found failing to provide amenities in accordance with prescribed standards.
CONRWA has also sought information from the district administration regarding the action taken on the complaint.
The letter was signed by Dr P.S. Jain, advocate and president of CONRWA, and Rajiv Garg, general secretary of the organisation’s Noida chapter.
