Greater Noida: Gautam Buddh Nagar district magistrate Medha Roopam inspected Beta-1 sector in Greater Noida along with officials from the Greater Noida Authority and the local administrative team to review security arrangements, civic infrastructure and basic amenities.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of Greater Noida Authority PGM Sandeep Chandra, DGM Vijay Rawal and other officials. RWA president Sangeeta Sharma, general secretary Harendra Bhati and other members of the residents’ association were also present.
Residents raise civic and safety concerns
During the inspection, RWA representatives apprised the officials of several issues affecting the sector. One of the key concerns was the need for a boundary wall around the entire sector to strengthen security.
Residents also raised the issue of sewer overflow caused by clogged sewer lines. Another major concern was the low water pressure under the Gangajal project, which residents said was affecting water supply in the sector.
The RWA also highlighted problems related to non-functional streetlights and tangled wires connected between poles.
Officials assure residents of action
Medha Roopam and DGM Vijay Rawal heard the concerns raised by residents and inspected the affected areas. Officials assured the residents that the issues would be addressed and necessary action would be initiated at the earliest.
PGM Sandeep Chandra and DGM Vijay Rawal said the required procedures would be completed and development and repair work would be started soon.
RWA treasurer advocate Vipin Bhati also highlighted the tree-trimming work carried out in Beta-1 and said the work had been completed effectively.
District magistrate plants trees
At the conclusion of the inspection, Medha Roopam appealed to residents to contribute towards keeping the environment clean and green by planting more trees and ensuring their proper care.
She also participated in a plantation drive at the sector and planted banyan, peepal and pilkhan saplings.
Several RWA members, residents, Greater Noida Authority officials and representatives of the technical and maintenance teams were present during the inspection and plantation programme.
