Noida, August 19, 2026: Residents of Sector 51, Noida, have raised concerns over an increase in mosquito activity in the sector and urged the Noida Authority to take immediate preventive measures against mosquito-borne diseases.
In a letter addressed to the Senior Manager, Work Circle 3, Sector 19, Noida Authority, residents have requested an urgent special fogging drive along with anti-larval spraying across the sector.
Mosquito Menace Intensifies In Sector 51
According to the complaint, the mosquito problem has increased significantly over the past few days, causing inconvenience to a large number of residents.
The RWA has also expressed concern over reports of fever and dengue cases among residents and said that preventive measures should be taken without delay.
The concerns come during the monsoon season, when stagnant water can create favourable breeding conditions for mosquitoes.
RWA Demands Immediate Fogging
The RWA has urged the Noida Authority to conduct fogging across Sector 51 on an urgent basis.
It has also requested anti-larval treatment at locations that could potentially become mosquito breeding grounds.
The letter specifically mentions parks, drains, waterlogged areas and other potential breeding sites where anti-larval chemicals should be sprayed.
Regular Monitoring Also Sought
Residents have requested that mosquito-control measures should not be limited to a one-time exercise.
The RWA has called for regular monitoring and continued fogging and anti-larval treatment in the coming days to prevent the mosquito population from increasing further.
According to the residents, timely intervention is particularly important given the concerns surrounding fever and dengue in the sector.
Focus On Public Health
The RWA has appealed to the Noida Authority to treat the matter as a public-health priority and initiate action at the earliest.
Residents have said that effective mosquito-control measures, along with proper drainage and removal of stagnant water, are essential to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases during the monsoon.
The complaint has been submitted for necessary action, with residents now awaiting a response and intervention from the concerned Noida Authority officials.
