Greater Noida West To Get Two New U-Turns, Road Widening To Ease Traffic For 1 Lakh Residents By July 2026

Greater Noida West : Residents of Greater Noida West can expect major relief from daily traffic congestion as the Greater Noida Authority has approved the construction of two new U-turns along with the widening of service roads. The move is aimed at easing traffic flow and is expected to directly benefit nearly 1 lakh residents living in around 20 nearby housing societies.

Traffic Congestion May Ease Soon

Traffic jams during peak morning and evening hours have become a routine issue in Greater Noida West. The stretch between Gaur City and Tigri is particularly affected due to narrow roads, leading to slow vehicle movement and increased travel time for commuters.

With the introduction of new U-turns and road widening, smoother traffic flow is expected, reducing congestion significantly.

Key Works Under The Project

The project includes several important infrastructure upgrades:

  • Construction of two new U-turns
  • Widening of service roads
  • Improvement and expansion of approximately 600 meters of road
  • Better traffic management systems

These improvements will allow vehicles to move more freely and eliminate the need for long detours.

Project Timeline

According to officials, the work will be carried out in phases. The project is expected to be completed by mid-2026, likely by July, bringing long-awaited relief to commuters.

Who Will Benefit The Most

The project will particularly benefit:

  • Residents of Gaur City 1 and Gaur City 2
  • Residents of over 20 nearby housing societies
  • Daily commuters travelling for work or education
  • Local shopkeepers and drivers

More than 1 lakh people are expected to directly benefit from the improved road infrastructure.

A Step Towards Better Urban Infrastructure

This initiative is part of the broader development plan by the Greater Noida Authority. Apart from reducing traffic congestion, the project is expected to boost overall infrastructure, save time and fuel, and improve connectivity in the region.
