A similar incident has come to light from a Royal Nest, Greater Noida West, where a portion of the ceiling plaster of a flat suddenly fell.
Due to the sudden collapse of the plaster, the laptop and mobile phone of a young man working in the room were damaged.
The incident occurred while the resident was working
According to information, the young man was sitting in the room and working on his laptop. He had stepped out of the room for a short while when, suddenly, a large portion of the ceiling plaster collapsed. When he returned, he found pieces of plaster scattered across the room. His laptop and mobile phone, which were kept inside the room, were damaged due to the falling debris.

The video goes viral on social media
After the incident, residents of the society recorded a video of the damaged room and shared it on social media. The video soon went viral, raising concerns about construction quality and safety in society.
Residents express anger
Residents expressed anger over the incident, stating that such situations are alarming in flats that cost crores of rupees. They questioned what could have happened if someone had been sleeping in the room at the time the plaster collapsed.
Questions raised over maintenance
Residents have also accused the society’s maintenance department of negligence. They said that despite paying heavy maintenance charges, such incidents are taking place. They further pointed out that similar incidents of ceiling plaster collapsing have been reported earlier in several posh societies in Greater Noida and Noida, raising serious concerns about construction quality and safety standards.
