Noida : Residents of Sector 51 Noida met senior Police officials to raise serious concerns over noise pollution, illegal DJ music, firecrackers and multiple civic and security issues affecting daily life in the area. The meeting was held with Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP-3) Rakesh Pratap Singh and Sector 49 Police Station In-charge Sunil Bhardwaj, under the leadership of DD RWA President N P Singh, at RWA Sector 51, Noida.

Major issues highlighted by residents

Residents informed the police that loud DJ music and fireworks from nearby banquet halls and the adjoining Hoshiyarpur village are causing severe inconvenience to elderly and sick residents. Students appearing for board and competitive examinations are also being badly affected.

During the meeting, RWA Sector 51 submitted two written representations to ACP-3 Rakesh Pratap Singh seeking immediate action.

  • The first letter highlighted problems related to loud DJ music, wedding processions and banquet hall activities.
  • The second letter focused on broader civic and safety concerns, including:
    • Need for increased police patrolling
    • Police verification of residents and workers
    • Illegal parking by banquet halls
    • Open consumption of alcohol
    • Parking of buses, Ola, Uber and other commercial vehicles inside residential areas
    • Women’s safety issues
    • Unauthorised movement of scrap dealers
    • Encroachment by street vendors on footpaths
Detailed discussion during the meeting

Sector 51 General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar read out all points from the letters and discussed each issue in detail with the ACP and SHO. Both police officers listened carefully and assured residents that every concern would be addressed seriously. SHO Sunil Bhardwaj assured strict enforcement at the ground level.

Assurances given by the Police

The police officials gave the following assurances during the meeting:

  1. Any DJ found playing loudly around Sector 51 will be immediately seized and confiscated.
  2. Action will be taken in a time-bound manner against traffic jams and unauthorized three-wheeler parking near the BDS Market and Sector 52 Metro Station.
  3. Unauthorised parking by banquet halls will be strictly controlled.
  4. Night patrolling in Sector 51 will be increased.
  5. Action will be taken against commercial vehicles such as buses, trucks and taxis parked in residential areas.
  6. Police verification drives will be strengthened.
  7. Action will also be taken against encroachment by roadside vendors.
