Greater Noida: Residents of Amrapali Golf Homes and Kingswood Society have launched a unique protest against the existing Adhoc Apartment Owners Association (AOA), accusing it of large-scale misuse of maintenance funds, lack of transparency and authoritarian functioning.

Carrying banners and beating drums, hundreds of residents staged a peaceful yet symbolic protest within the society premises to express their anger against what they termed as financial irregularities running into crores of rupees. The protest marked the beginning of a larger movement against the alleged corruption in society management.
Allegations raised during GBM
According to residents, during the General Body Meeting (GBM) held on January 18, 2026, members sought detailed information regarding the expenditure of maintenance funds. However, they alleged that instead of providing answers, the president of the Adhoc AOA misbehaved and used abusive language against residents who raised questions. Outraged by this conduct and the alleged financial irregularities, all residents present in the GBM unanimously passed a resolution to dissolve the Adhoc AOA.

Adhoc AOA accused of continuing illegally
Residents have further alleged that despite the democratic decision taken in the GBM, the Adhoc AOA continues to function illegally. They claimed this is being done due to an alleged nexus with the Court Receiver’s Office. The residents stated that, to date, no transparent, audited, or verified account of the maintenance fund has been presented to them. They accused the AOA of taking arbitrary decisions without residents’ consent and completely ignoring accountability.
Warning of bigger protest ahead
Angered by continuous negligence, corruption and what they described as a dictatorial attitude, residents have issued a clear warning. They said that if the Court Receiver and the Adhoc AOA fail to bring transparency, provide full financial details and reform their functioning, a massive sit in protest and rally will be organised outside the Court Receiver’s Office in the coming days.

The protest has garnered the support of hundreds of society members, including Lokendra, Amarnath, Murari Singh, Neeraj, Rohit Bhatnagar, Vijay Joshi, Subhashish, Shashikant Sahu, Vishnu Khanna, Rajaram and many other residents.
