
Casa Greens Society in Greater Noida West witnessed a vibrant and spiritually uplifting celebration of Lohri and Makar Sankranti from January 13 to 15, marked by enthusiastic participation from residents of all age groups. The festivities began on January 13 with the traditional celebration of Lohri. Children, women and senior citizens joined in large numbers, dancing joyfully to popular Punjabi songs. The traditional folk dances and collective celebrations filled the society’s premises with energy, warmth and cultural pride.
On January 14, a Ram Katha was organised on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. Renowned storyteller Surendra Dwivedi from Ayodhya Dham narrated the episode of Lord Ram’s exile with deep emotion and devotion, leaving the audience deeply moved. The discourse created a serene and devotional atmosphere across the society.
The celebrations concluded on January 15 with the distribution of Khichdi Prasad outside the society gate, where a large number of residents and passers-by participated and received the prasad.
Both events were organised by the Cultural Volunteers Group with the support of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA). The programmes saw overwhelming participation from residents, reflecting strong community bonding and collective enthusiasm.
The volunteer team included Mahesh Yadav, S.P. Gupta, Dheeraj Yadav, Ajay Kumar Singh, N.N.B. Rao, V.K. Batra, Anupama Mishra, Neelam Varshney, Maya Shankar Srivastava, Sudhir Kulshreshtha, Ashok Srivastava, Deepti Mishra, Kavita Sharma, Tanya Gupta, Priya Srivastava, Shreeja Singh, Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, Vandana Singh and several others, whose dedicated efforts ensured the success of the celebrations.
