Noida : On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, a Peace Yajna and Thought Seminar was organized by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at RG Residency, Shivaji Nagar, Sector-120, Noida. The programme was dedicated to remembering the supreme sacrifice, courage, and devotion of the Sikh Gurus and the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The seminar began with floral tributes to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and his four Sahibzadas. At the outset, Kumari Aadya presented a devotional Saraswati Vandana, setting a solemn and reflective tone for the gathering.

Sikh Gurus’ sacrifice a glorious chapter in Indian history

Addressing the seminar, speakers highlighted that the Sikh Panth has made unparalleled contributions to the protection of the nation and Dharma. Kishan Singh Rawat, Ved Prakash Arora, Ashok Bindlish, Dr Meera Rawat, Harjeet Singh, and Dr Munish Prakash Agrawal stated that the sacrifice, valour, and martyrdom of the Sikh Gurus and their brave sons remain exemplary and continue to inspire generations.

The speakers said that through their resistance to inhuman Mughal atrocities, the Sikh Gurus instilled a spirit of self-respect, dignity, and courage in society. Despite their tender age, the Sahibzadas displayed extraordinary bravery and patience, choosing martyrdom over forced religious conversion. They stood firm against oppression and refused to bow even in the face of death.

Sahibzadas’ martyrdom ignited nationwide resistance

It was recalled that 18-year-old Baba Ajit Singh and 15-year-old Baba Jujhar Singh attained martyrdom while fighting the Mughal forces on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh were brutally hanged alive within the walls of the Sirhind Fort. Their sacrifice ignited resistance against Mughal rule across the country.

Inspired by this legacy, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj led the struggle against the Mughals in the south and established a Hindu kingdom, while Maharaja Chhatrasal emerged as a guiding force for Hindu society in Bundelkhand. This continuous struggle later culminated in the overthrow of British rule in India.

Call to protect National unity

Speakers cautioned that even today, forces attempting to divide the nation remain active. They urged society to remain vigilant and committed to preserving India’s unity, integrity and social harmony.
