Noida: The unchecked proliferation of unauthorized vendors in Sectors 119 and 120 has become a major source of distress for local residents, with roads increasingly congested and public spaces encroached upon. Residents allege that the situation has worsened dramatically over the past year, affecting traffic flow, safety, and overall quality of life.

The Noida HighRise Federation (NHRF) has raised the issue repeatedly with the Noida Authority. According to the federation, while the Authority has formally written to the police seeking action, there has been no visible response from the police administration so far.
‘Residents are bearing the brunt of administrative inaction’ – Nikhil Singhal
People living in Sectors 119 and 120 are suffering due to unauthorised vendors. We approached the Authority, which in turn wrote to the police, but no action has followed. This situation has become intolerable.
Nikhil Singhal, President, NHRF
There is a breakdown in coordination between departments. Initially, the police asked for written communication from the Authority. Now that they have received it, there is still no action. This reflects a clear administrative failure.
Ashutosh Rai, Vice President of NHRF
We have informed ACP Twinkle Jain multiple times, but there has been no response. This is a serious issue affecting residents’ daily lives.
Namita Sharma, Joint Secretary, NHRF
Noise from vendors continues late into the night, and encroachment has increased by nearly 100 percent in the last year—something never seen before in this area. The sector has lost its peaceful character. It is puzzling why both the police and the Authority are reluctant to act.
Kapil Mehra, Secretary, NHRF
Residents are now demanding immediate enforcement action to remove unauthorised vendors and clear encroached roads, restoring them for public use and ensuring safety and order in the affected sectors.
