Greater Noida West: The ongoing water crisis in Eros Sampoornam Society has intensified once again, leaving thousands of residents struggling without supply. The main government borewell motor, which provides water to the entire society, suddenly broke down, disrupting the supply throughout the night and continuing into the next day.
According to residents, the breakdown caused severe inconvenience, particularly for families who relied on the daily supply for essential household needs. The technical team repaired the motor but residents fear this is only a temporary relief, as the motor has been malfunctioning repeatedly due to excessive load.
A rapidly growing population, but only one motor
Resident Navneet Juneja explained that the entire Eros Sampoornam complex currently relies on just one motor, which is no longer sufficient for the growing population.
When the society was first occupied, it had around 1,100 to 1,200 families. Today, the number has surged to nearly 2,000. Additionally, six new towers are expected to be handed over soon, bringing in another 200 to 300 families. With demand rising continuously, the strain on the single motor has become unsustainable.

Motor overheating and frequent breakdowns
Residents say that because the motor runs non-stop to meet the growing needs, it overheats and breaks down frequently.
As a result, the water supply often gets interrupted for an entire day or more, forcing families to manage without water for long hours. They point out that water is essential for everyday activities, children’s needs, and hygiene, making these repeated disruptions extremely distressing.

‘A major crisis could occur anytime’
Relying on one motor for such a large population is impractical and risky. Since the motor is overloaded, fluctuations increase, leading to frequent failures. If no immediate action is taken, a major water crisis could emerge at any time.

Residents demand permanent solution
Residents have urged the authorities to provide at least one additional water connection or install a second motor to reduce the load on the existing system.
We requested a long-term, sustainable solution, keeping in mind the rising population and future demand. Only a permanent arrangement can ensure an uninterrupted water supply and bring relief to thousands of affected families.
