Noida: The growing sanitation crisis and rising encroachment in Central Noida’s Sector 119 and Sector 120 have emerged as a major civic concern, prompting Noida Highrise Federation (NHRF) President Nikhil Singhal to write to the Noida Authority seeking urgent intervention.

In his letter, Singhal highlighted the unchecked spread of unauthorized food vendors and the large garbage-dumping zone along the main roads that connect the two sectors. According to residents, these issues have created serious obstacles for both pedestrians and motorists.

Despite multiple complaints from the residents, the issue remains unresolved.

Pedestrian safety compromised

Residents report that encroachments by street vendors and mounting waste have made it nearly impossible to walk safely along the sector roads. This has led to recurring traffic congestion, posing risks to cleanliness, mobility, and public safety overall. Noida authority official Indu Prakash has assured residents that he will take up the matter promptly and conduct an on-site inspection soon.

Authorities alerted

The letter has been escalated to key officials, including:

  • Lokesh M, CEO, Noida Authority
  • R.K. Sharma, Health Department
  • ACP Twinkle Jain, Traffic Police

Singhal has requested these departments to coordinate and take swift action to remove encroachments, clear the garbage dump, and restore civic order in the area.

Residents hope for timely relief

Emphasizing the urgency of the problem, Singhal expressed confidence that a targeted visit by the authority and prompt administrative measures could bring much-needed relief to thousands of affected residents.
