Greater Noida West : A wave of devotion and unity swept through Gaur City as Gurudwara Singh Sabha celebrated the 556th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with grandeur and grace. The newly constructed Gurudwara Hall resonated with Gurbani, faith, and sewa as hundreds of devotees participated in the day-long festivities.
The celebrations began weeks in advance with Prabhat Pheris (early morning processions) held between October 11 and 31, and a majestic Nagar Kirtan on November 2. The palki of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, adorned with flowers, travelled from Paramount Society, Crossings Republik through Gaur City 2, greeted by residents with floral showers and folded hands.
On November 5, the main ceremony commenced with the conclusion of the Akhanda Path at 10 AM. Renowned Hazuri Ragis, Bhai Ravinder Singh (Darbar Sahib), Bhai Amarjeet Singh (Hazuri Ragi), Bhai Harpal Singh (Hazur Sahib) and Bhai Amarjeet Singh (Patiala) filled the Gurudwara with soul-stirring Gurbani. Giani Harbhajan Singh Khalsa enlightened the sangat with Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings on compassion, service and equality.
Throughout the day, langar seva continued uninterrupted serving tea, milk, mathi and laddoos followed by Guru Ka Langar in the afternoon that saw participation from people across communities and societies of Noida West.
The evening diwan (7 PM–10:30 PM) featured more Kirtan and Katha, concluding with milk and jalebi prasad for all.
The event was led by President S. Surendra Singh and managed by Secretary S. Jaspal Singh and Vice President S. Narendra Singh Babbar, with full support from former President R.S. Uppal and the managing committee. Notably, members of NCR Champions Fitness Group and Swag Group also offered their seva, embodying the spirit of community participation.
