Beta 1 : Sewer overflow crisis, Deep pit left open since Diwali sparks safety concerns

Greater Noida : Residents of Sector Beta-1 are facing severe inconvenience due to continuous sewer overflow in most of the streets. Despite repeated complaints to the Greater Noida Authority Sewer Department, especially to the concerned officer Vinod Sharma, no concrete action has been taken so far. Residents allege that the department staff is not paying attention to resolving the long-pending issue, leading to worsening sanitation conditions in the locality.

Adding to the concern, residents have pointed out another major negligence by the Greater Noida Authority Water Department. Before Diwali, a large pit was dug near the gate of House No. A-266 under the supervision of Senior Manager Prabhat Shankar and the Sewer Department. Shockingly, the pit has still not been filled, despite several weeks having passed. The open and deep pit has become a serious risk, and locals fear that it could cause a major accident at any time.

Are the officers of the Water and Sewer Department waiting for a major tragedy to take action?
