Greater Noida : The spirit of devotion and preparation is at its peak as Greater Noida readies itself for Chhath Mahaparv, the grand festival of faith, purity and Sun worship. The Greater Noida Authority has gone all out to ensure that the celebration of Chhath Puja 2025 to be observed on October 27 (evening Arghya) and October 28 (morning Arghya) is smooth, safe and spiritually uplifting for every devotee.
Intensive preparations across the city
With the festival just days away, the Authority has intensified its efforts to clean, repair and decorate artificial ponds across the city. To ensure devotees face no inconvenience, all ponds will be filled with clean water a day before the festival.
Key sites under preparation include:
IEC College, Knowledge Park-I
Haibatpur Community Center
Techzone-4 (Cherry County Society)
Sector-3 and Sector P-3
Kulesra and Sector Zeta-II
Each site is being equipped with upgraded lighting systems, improved sanitation, and an uninterrupted water supply. The goal is to create a clean, safe, and spiritual environment for all devotees.
CEO N.G. Ravi Kumar issues special instructions
We have directed all circle in-charges to ensure 100% readiness in cleanliness, lighting, water supply, and security. Lakhs of devotees take part in Chhath Puja. Cleanliness, illumination, water availability, and security are our top priorities.
NG Ravi Kumar
Following his directions, several departments have installed LED lighting, barricades and temporary toilets around ponds and ghats.
‘Clean Ghat, Green Chhath’ The Authority’s Eco-Friendly Mission
This year’s celebrations will carry a green message with the “Clean Ghat, Green Chhath” campaign. Under this initiative:
Biodegradable dustbins are being placed at all ghats.
Additional sanitation workers are deployed round-the-clock.
The surrounding areas have been declared No-Plastic Zones.
The objective is to keep the ponds clean during and after the festival, ensuring zero pollution.
Tight security and safety measures
For crowd management and safety, the Authority is working in coordination with police, fire brigade, and NDRF teams. CCTV cameras, temporary control rooms, and first-aid units are being set up at major ghats.
Additionally, female volunteers will assist women devotees, helping with crowd control and emergency support.
Faith meets governance, A collective celebration
Chhath Puja in Greater Noida is no longer just a religious ritual; it’s a festival of community spirit, discipline, and environmental awareness. Thanks to the proactive efforts of the Authority, this year’s celebration will shine as a symbol of collective devotion and civic responsibility.
Compared to previous years, when lighting and water shortages were major issues, the 2025 preparations have been exemplary, with smooth pathways, sand and mat arrangements near ponds, and better accessibility for devotees.
The city awaits the divine glow
As the evening of October 27 draws near, Greater Noida is ready to bathe in the spiritual radiance of Chhath Maiya’s blessings. Every pond and ghat will echo with chants, glowing diyas, and the sound of devotion rising with the sun. When faith and administration walk hand in hand, festivals transcend religion becoming true Mahautsavs of unity, cleanliness, and shared culture.
