Noida : The grand Shri Ramleela being organized by Shri Ram Mitra Mandal Noida Ramleela Committee at Sector-62 Ramleela Ground entered its ninth day with devotion and grandeur. The evening’s proceedings began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the chief guests, who jointly inaugurated the event. The committee’s chairman, Umashankar Garg, President Dharmpal Goyal and General Secretary Munna Kumar Sharma welcomed the dignitaries with mementos and traditional angavasras.

The beautifully staged scenes captivated the audience, beginning with Bali Vadh and Sugreev’s coronation. As the story unfolded, Shri Ram and Lakshman’s anger towards Sugreev for delaying Sita’s search led to sending Angad, Neel, Jambvant, and Hanuman towards the south. Their encounter with Sampati, Jatayu’s brother, revealed that Sita was in Lanka, reachable only by one capable of crossing the ocean.

Jambvant reminded Hanuman of his divine strength, following which Hanuman chanted Lord Ram’s name and leapt across the sea. On the way, he met Surasa, who tested his wisdom and might. Reaching Ashok Vatika, Hanuman dropped Lord Ram’s ring before Sita Mata, reassuring her of Ram’s message.

The dramatic Lanka Dahan sequence drew applause from the crowd, from Hanuman’s confrontation with Ravana and Meghnath to setting Lanka ablaze after his tail was set on fire. The scene depicting Vibhishan’s departure from Lanka and his surrender before Lord Ram was emotionally charged, emphasizing the moral victory of truth and righteousness.
