The initiative was aimed at creating a platform where residents could directly raise civic and infrastructure issues before senior officials and collectively seek resolutions. Residents welcomed the move, hailing it as an encouraging sign of accountable governance and responsive administration.

Key issues discussed

Pending registries

One of the foremost concerns raised by residents was the delay in property registries. Tripathi assured the community that a significant number of registries have already been completed, and the remaining would be expedited soon. The AOA Board, she noted, is coordinating closely with the Authority to ensure all residents who have met their financial and procedural obligations under the Builder-Buyer Agreement receive timely completion.

Residents expressed relief at this assurance and appreciated the Authority’s efforts to streamline the process.

IFMS (Interest Free Maintenance Security) Refund

Another pressing matter was the refund of IFMS funds, long held by the builder without resolution. The AOA highlighted that although continuous dialogue has led to the release of ₹1 crore recently, a substantial amount is still pending.

The primary sticking point, as explained by the AOA, is the ownership of shops in the society, an area where current laws and byelaws lack clarity. Tripathi assured residents that she would examine the issue in depth, engage with stakeholders, and work towards a viable solution.

Infrastructure and civic concerns

Residents also presented a series of infrastructure-related demands, including:

Installation of CCTV cameras and street lights on the service lane.

Drain cleaning and green belt revival.

Removal of encroachments on the service road.

Repair and regular cleaning of service roads.

Ensuring adequate Ganga water supply.

Addressing unauthorised construction behind the society.

The ACEO gave firm assurance of support to the AOA in tackling these issues. She also stressed strict action against unauthorised occupation of common facilities and illegal modifications in flats that violate existing byelaws.

Governance at the doorstep

The जन संवाद initiative represents a new approach in Noida’s governance framework—bringing the administration closer to the people it serves. By encouraging open conversations, the Authority not only ensures greater transparency and accountability but also empowers communities to actively participate in the problem-solving process.

Essence of Good Governance’

“Meetings like these are crucial for public participation in decision-making. They allow communities to voice their concerns and contribute to shaping solutions to issues that directly impact their daily lives. This is the essence of good governance and aligns with the vision of the state leadership.
