Greater Noida West: Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, is one of the most revered festivals in India. It symbolises the triumph of good over evil, the power of love and compassion, and the eternal wisdom of Shri Krishna’s teachings in the Bhagavad Gita. Celebrated with immense joy across the country, the festival brings together devotion, music, dance, and storytelling that connect the younger generation with India’s rich cultural roots.
This year, Amarpushp Educational and Welfare Society celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and devotion. The event was filled with vibrant performances as children enacted Krishna Leela and performed graceful dances, capturing the essence of Lord Krishna’s childhood mischief and divine charm.
Adding to the festive spirit, the teachers of Amarpushp narrated the story of Krishna’s birth, explaining to the children how his arrival marked the end of tyranny and spread the message of righteousness and love. Their storytelling not only entertained but also instilled moral values and spiritual lessons among the young participants.
On this occasion, Amarpushp’s Director, Geetanjali Kushwaha, spoke about the significance of Indian culture, emphasising how festivals like Janmashtami help preserve traditions and pass them on to future generations. She emphasised that celebrating Krishna’s life is not just about rituals, but about embodying the values of truth, duty, and compassion in everyday life.
The celebration at Amarpushp was a perfect blend of devotion, learning, and cultural pride, reminding everyone that festivals are not just moments of joy, but also opportunities to nurture values that guide us through life.
