Noida: On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, a tree plantation drive was organized by Noida Lok Manch at Antim Nivas, Sector 94, Noida. The event was held under the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”, and was successfully conducted in collaboration with the Noida Authority, the World Malayalee Council – India Region and its Uttar Pradesh chapter.
The event was graced by key members of the World Malayalee Council – India Region, including Dominic Joseph, Secretary Shiju Joseph, UP State President Rajeshwari Thyagarajan, President Murali Pillai and Secretary Jayaraj Nair.

Representing the Noida Authority, OSD Indu was present, along with several prominent members of Noida Lok Manch, including Leeka Saxena, Indra Chaudhary, Vibha Bansal, Girja Singh, Sunita Khatana, Asmita, R.N. Srivastava, and Satish Singhal.
Fruit bearing trees planted
As part of the campaign, various fruit-bearing trees, including mango, guava, Indian gooseberry (amla), pomegranate, jamun, curry leaves, and sapodilla (chikoo), were planted. These not only contribute to the area’s greenery but also help create a bird-friendly environment.
‘Save the environment’
On this occasion, Noida Lok Manch appealed to all citizens to actively participate in efforts to eliminate plastic and protect the environment, urging everyone to fulfil their responsibility towards nature.
