Housekeeping and Market-related problems :
Encroachment and dirt: There is heavy encroachment in Sharma Market, Lal Market and BP Market in Sector 29 and Sector 37. The condition of cleanliness is extremely pathetic. This is not only dirty but also unhygienic and breeding hood for mosquitoes hence creating big problem and health issues.
The solution suggested – The Challan system should be implemented so that shopkeepers keep their area clean. They should be imposed fine and the photo should be published on web portals.
- Markets open late at night: There is a problem with law and order. Brahmputra market is facing severe noise pollution due to shops being open till late at night in the markets. Shops are opened midnight and when closed, the eateries wash their utensils. The mixture of sound and laughter disturbs the sleep of residents.
The solution suggested – There is a need for time-bound closure. Closure means complete closure of shops to all the work like washing utensils, staying there for no sense. Administration should ask them to wind all work timely. - Food inspection: Unhygienic food vendors are increasing in the markets of Sector 28, 29 and 37.
Solution – The food and safety department should keep a watch on these vendors. Regular inspections should be done by food inspectors.

Solution – Control measures should be taken.
- Illegal carts: Illegal carts are being set up outside the Sector 37 water tank office, which promotes anarchy and anti-social activities.
Solution – Illegal carts should be removed.
Illegal bus and taxi stand: Illegal bus and taxi stands on BP road. Cars and buses are being repaired and washed on the road. Noida Authority team comes remove them and they are back there in another 2 days
Solution – Challan should be imposed because challans will act an deterrent. These should be removed immediately with challan.

Dangerous trees: Many trees are very dilapidated which are damaging the electric wires and the power supply is getting disrupted repeatedly.
Solution – Such trees should be identified and removed immediately.

Electric poles and wires: The condition is bad, repairs should be done. New poles have also not been installed properly.
Contact of electric wires and trees: The branches of the trees are getting entangled with the electric wires, causing the problem of short circuit. Quick solution should be found.
- Electricity supply: The supply of the residential area of Sector 37 should be separated from the hotel, market and Ambedkar Nagar and connected to an independent feeder.
- Road and traffic-related problems:

Chaos of cable wires: Accidents are happening due to haphazard wiring of internet and cable TV.
Solution – These should be made safe and well organized.
- Incomplete development of a playground in Sector 29 Ward 10:
Our sector was selected in the year 2022 under the plan of Noida Authority to develop playgrounds in all sectors. An amount of ₹4 lakh was sanctioned and some cleaning and tiling work was also done, but there was no progress after that. The residents demand that a complete, safe and proper playground for children should be developed soon.

- Security & Surveillance Related Issues:
- CCTV Cameras: There is no cctv coverage of the area. As the daily crime is increasing like pick pocketing, chain snatching etc it calls for maximum cctv survillance in all the areas of Arun Vihar.
- Solution Given – CCTV cameras should be installed at major crossings, red lights and sensitive areas and operated by Noida Police to effectively control crime and provide more security to citizens. Police patrolling should be maximized.
Prompt action is required on the above issues so that better facilities, clean environment and security can be provided to the residents of Arun Vihar area.

Due to the vendors zone in Noida, people have been deprived of the right to walk on the roadside, while the Supreme Court has said that footpaths are a constitutional right of commuters. Will the Noida Authority and the police administration take cognizance of this order of the Supreme Court?
