Greater Noida West: A 16-meter-wide elevated road will soon be built on Shahberi Road connecting Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad, which will reduce traffic pressure in the area and relieve people from jams. This elevated road will start from Iteda Roundabout and will be built till Crossing Republic. There will be no damage to the houses under this project, which has brought relief to the local people.
A feasibility report will be prepared by CRRI
The plan to build the elevated road has been made by the Greater Noida Authority and Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) keeping in mind the future traffic pressure. This road on Shahberi Marg will start about 100 meters from Iteda Roundabout and go till Crossing Republic. The construction of this road will facilitate travel between Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad.
CRRI will prepare a detailed feasibility report in the next week and submit it to the Greater Noida Authority. Based on this report, a detailed project report (DPR) will be prepared, in which if any improvement or amendment is required, it will be done.
Traffic pressure on Shahberi Marg
Greater Noida West has about 150 societies and more than 100 villages, and many residential sectors of Noida are also nearby. About 15 thousand vehicles pass through Shahberi Marg daily, and traffic pressure also remains due to the furniture market here.
Due to the narrow width of the road, there is usually a jam situation here. Especially in the morning and evening, the jam increases even more, and it takes half an hour to 40 minutes to cross a distance of one and a half kilometres.
The solution to the problem of jams with elevated road
To solve this problem, the Greater Noida Authority has decided to construct an elevated road. CRRI officials recently inspected the project site and proposed two designs for an elevated road of 3500 meters long and 14 to 16 meters wide. The authority believes that traffic pressure will increase in the future, so the width of the elevated road will be kept at 16 meters only.
Houses and shops will not be damaged
The houses and shops built on Shahberi Road under this project will not be damaged, and this will provide relief to lakhs of people from traffic jams.
