Greater Noida: There is news of relief for the buyers of Unitech projects lying incomplete for years in Noida and Greater Noida. 1,115 buyers who booked flats by paying a huge amount for about 10 years are now expected to get their homes by May or June 2025. The new board of Unitech has decided to expedite the construction work in 6 projects and has also fixed the deadline for possession.
According to media reports, possession will be given to 300 buyers in the ‘Willows’ project located in Sector-96 of Noida from May 2025. This project, which was earlier to be developed as a township, was lying incomplete for years. The new board has started the work of all the basic facilities like roads, electricity, water, parks and green areas here so that the buyers who had bought plots here will now be able to fulfil their dream of building their own house.
At the same time, there is a plan to give possession to 1,115 buyers in 5 projects of Greater Noida – Habitat, Heights, Horizon, Caskets and Verb by 30 June 2025. Some buyers are already living in these projects, but due to incomplete infrastructure, they are facing many problems. The new board has now set a target to complete the work of all the basic facilities in these projects.
Projects running under the supervision of SC
In these projects running under the supervision of the Supreme Court, buyers have been waiting for their flats for the last 12-14 years. The Supreme Court had dissolved the old board of Unitech Group and entrusted the responsibility of completing the incomplete projects to the new board. The new board has started work on the projects of Noida and Greater Noida in the last few months, although due to the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), the construction work was halted for the last two-and-a-half months. Despite this, the board has set a deadline of May-June 2025 to give possession.
7 thousand buyers will get flats
Around 7 thousand buyers of Unitech are waiting for their flats in Noida and Greater Noida. After the completion of these projects, all the buyers will be given their flats. With the start of the possession process, the dream of a home of thousands of buyers will be fulfilled. The new board has started sending notices to the buyers to deposit the outstanding amount. According to the information, 70 per cent of the buyers have deposited the outstanding amount, due to which the work in the projects is progressing rapidly.
