DM strict on workplace harassment in Noida: The Women’s Welfare Department will launch a website and every company will have to register

To stop the crime against women in Noida, the DM has started implementing his plan. A large number of women are coming from other cities to work in Noida. After safety on the road and at home, now arrangements are being made for the safety of women in the office as well. Now sexual harassment has been explained in a very fixed manner by the committee formed under the POSH Act in every office. This includes any kind of undesirable behaviour. Along with this, a website is being launched in the office of the District Women’s Welfare Department for reporting sexual harassment.

All companies will have to send data

According to the information, the District Women’s Welfare Department is going to launch a website keeping in mind the safety of women. 12 thousand companies of Noida will register on this website. Also, the POSH committee of those companies will upload all the reports on this website, so that the data of every company can be easily found. Let us tell you that a few days ago a young woman committed suicide due to harassment in the office. This matter had caught fire. However, the accused were sent to jail by the police.

What is POSH?

In India, an act was made in 2013 to stop sexual harassment of women in the workplace. The name of this act was POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment At Workplace), under this act, complaints can be made about any kind of sexual harassment happening with women. Let us tell you that legally it is also necessary for companies to form a POSH committee. At least 50% of the members of this committee should be women. The work of this committee is to review any complaint coming under physical contact and POSH and take action against the people associated with it according to the rules.

You will also get help from the police

After POSH 2013, it has become easier to register a complaint of sexual harassment at the workplace. Under this act, the inquiry of the complaint must be completed within 90 days. You can complain directly to the committee at the workplace or you can register a complaint against it at the police station. If the committee feels that the matter is very serious, then the complaint can be registered by the committee itself.
