Noida: Permission will have to be taken from the administration for laying underground pipeline, laying sewer line, laying electricity wire and gas pipeline. In Gautam Buddha Nagar, permission will have to be taken from IGL officials for road construction, digging or any other work. You can dig even after getting permission. If you do this work without permission, then strict action will be taken against you.
What did DM Manish Kumar Verma say
Manish Kumar Verma, Noida DM says, “According to the gazette 31 March 2006 published under the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Act 2006 of the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, if the IGL gas pipeline is damaged by any person or institution, then action will be taken to impose a penalty against the concerned person.“
Action will be taken against those who break the rules
Manish Verma, DM says, “Before road construction, road digging, cutting or pruning of trees on the roadside and other works, permission will have to be taken from the officials of IGL Gas Limited. Only after that, this work can be done. If someone breaks this rule and the gas pipeline is damaged at any place, then action will be taken against that person or company along with a penalty.”
Why was this decision taken
It has been seen in the district for some time that the incidents of fire are increasing. One of the main reasons for this is also the gas pipeline. People start digging anywhere without permission, due to which the problem of leakage arises and the IGL gas pipeline catches fire on the roadside. Many such cases have been seen within the last some time. Apart from this, this decision has been taken to prevent loss of life and accidents. District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma has clearly said that if any person violates the rules, strict action will be taken against them. Apart from this, a fine will also be imposed.
