The 42-year-old artist shared an image on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, depicting charred gym equipment, including weights, dumbbells, and kettlebells covered in dust.
In her caption, Spears reflected on the incident, stating, “Reflecting back remembering when I burnt the gym down in 2020.” She shared the photograph with her extensive following of 42.7 million on Instagram.
The singer had previously disclosed that the fire was unintentional and started by her. In April 2020, she explained, “Yes… I burnt it down. I walked past the door to the gym and flames, BOOM !!!!!!” Fortunately, she emphasized that the alarm went off promptly, and no one was harmed. Despite the incident, Spears humorously mentioned, “Unfortunately, now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym!!!!!”
