Noida: Grand celebrations took place in the Sector 82, Noida. Shailendra Kumar Mishra, President of International Maithili Parishad and R.W.A and Chhath Puja Committee, offered Arghya to the rising Sun at Sector 82 Noida Chhath Ghat.
Arghya to the sun was offered by offering him milk, water etc. According to mythological beliefs, offering Arghya strengthens the weak position of the Sun in the horoscope, this brings good luck in life. Offering arghya also increases the respect, name and fame in one’s life.
Chhathi Maiya blesses the childless with the happiness of having children. After offering Arghya to the rising Sun, the devotees break their fast by breaking the fast of Chhath Puja.
