Greater Noida: Birthday parties are quite a normal thing, but this birthday party has gained negative attention and is in the news. The reason is the wrong selection of the venue and also a joke on the name of faith. A birthday party was celebrated in tent dedicated for Chhath Puja in a society in Greno West. On the complaint of the residents, the society’s facility team imposed a fine on the organisers.

This point is kept in the mind of everyone who observes the Chhath pooja fast. As per the Poorvanchal community, the place should be neat, clean and hygenic. No other cooking is permitted where the 4 days fasting meals are prepared.
Know what is the matter
The matter is of Supertech Ecovillage-1 of Greno West. Chhath Puja is being organized by Mahadev Seva Parivar of the Society. The organizers Shashi Bhushan Shah, Sanjay Sharma, MK Mahendra, Santosh Singh, Anand Pal Singh etc seeked the permission from the Supertech Eco Village 1 facility to set up tents, lights and to do all the necessary arrangement as they were planning a small get together for the Chhath Pooja in front of S3 Tower. This place was assigned for the distribution of Prasad among the members and society residents on the Kharna day of Chhath Puja. But the birthday party was organised under the name of Chath pooja prasad making.
Anger among residents
The society residents objected to this and complained to the facility team and asked how the birthday was being celebrated in the common area of the society. Society residents shared photos and videos of the big party with the facility team. On receiving the complaint, the facility team imposed a fine on the organisers.
Fine imposed by the facility team
The facility team official says, “Permission was sought by some residents of the society to set up tents for making and distributing Chhath Puja prasad, but along with the Chhath Puja program, a private birthday program was also being celebrated there. Keeping this in mind, a fine has been imposed on its organizer, the receipt for payment of which and the amount of the fine will be shared with the residents.
On the condition of anonymity, residents expressed their anger
One resident says, “The pooja is all about cleanliness and purity. We are highly dissatisfied with this as they have celebrated their birthday there, which means they have used the onion garlic and now the place is no more pure and sanity is nowhere now.”
Other resident says, “Is this right? will imposing a fine will make that area perfect for the prasad preparation?”
Resident says, “The fine should be doubled as this is the misuse of the comman area as well as this is a joke on the name of faith and trust.”
Other residents demands to wash the place, tents etc.
