Greater Noida West: On the one hand where Noida is called a smart city where everything is getting smarter and digitalised, the rear view is quite different from this statement. The residents are neither getting the Ganga Jal water as promised, Nor they are getting the clean and drinkable water in their daily supply. The major problem is coming in A 168, A 348, A 407,A 413, A 415, 418, A 441, A 474, A 551, A 349, D 201 to D 220, D 51, B 516, B 570.
Resident of this sector, Narendra Tyagi shared a video in which the bucket is full of soiled water and the floor tiles are covered with the soil which has come with the supplied water.
Dirty water to drink?
The water is full of dirt and odour that one cannot think to take bath from it or to wash the clothes from this water.
Many residents of this sector are saying that they are also getting soil-mixed water.
Few residents in the A block complain of getting soiled water due to which their drains got clogged. Narendra Tyagi says that For the past month, we have been pleading with the authority officials but no one is hearing our outcries.
Low pressure of water gives everyday headaches
Neelam Yadav says, “We are scuffling from the issues related to water supply. The pressure is 90% time so slow that our water tanks do not get filled. We are upset with the kind of water that is supplied. This is not good for drinking purposes.”
RO system machines also suffer
Due to this sand problem, many residents complain about their ROs breaking down. Saurabh Sharma, a resident of D block Sector 3 says, ” In 6 months, I have got membrane changed twice. the water is coming with so much sand that my RO broke down. It is a costly affair to keep getting it changed.”
Narendra Tyagi says, “Sand is continuously coming into the supply of water for the last month. How many times verbal information has been given to the Greater Noida Authority that Sector 3 Greater Noida West A B C D Block are suffering on an everyday basis? But there was no improvement. Due to this residents facing trouble. Sand is accumulating in the tanks of the houses, and the line will get blocked due to the arrival of so much sand.”
Improper pipeline
Rishi, a resident of Sector 3 says, ” The pipeline in B 684 is torn, water is leaking, please repair it, I have spoken to the lineman several times, but it has not been fixed yet, please fix it.
