UP NMMS 2023: The registration date for the Uttar Pradesh National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (UP NMMS) program for 2023 has been extended. Prospective students now have until September 28, 2023, to finish registering for this award. Candidates can register by going to entdata.co.in, the official website.
This scholarship programme, which aims to give financial aid to worthy students based on their merit and income criteria, is managed by the Examination Regulatory Authority of Uttar Pradesh, which is situated in Prayagraj. Candidates now have an extra 10 days to submit their applications due to the deadline extension.
It is imperative that prospective students make the most of this extended window and apply as soon as possible. There is typically a spike in applications as the deadline draws near, so applying early can help prevent any last-minute website traffic or technological issues.
Candidates with a PC running Windows 10 or a higher operating system should anticipate having continuous access to the website for a seamless application procedure.
The following are the important dates to keep in mind for 2023’s UP NMMS scheme registration:
August 23, 2023 is the start date for online applications; September 28, 2023 is the deadline for online applications; and November 5, 2023 is the exam date.
Students must have received at least a 55% on their class 7 exams during the 2022–2023 academic year in order to be eligible for this award. Candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are exempt from this requirement by 5%.
Furthermore, throughout the current academic year, children enrolled in class 8 at government, local body, or non-government aided schools are qualified to apply for the National Income and Merit Based Scholarship Scheme Examination for 2024–2025.
The parents’ combined annual income, which cannot exceed Rs 3,50,000 (three lakh fifty thousand rupees), is one of the most important qualifying criteria. Additionally, applicants who fall under the categories of OBC, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Freedom Fighters, or Physically Challenged must include the necessary certificate about reservation, issued by the Tehsildar or Competent Authority, with their online application. If the reservation certificate is not uploaded, the candidate will be classified as a general category candidate and will be responsible for all associated responsibilities.
