500 city e-buses will shortly begin service in Greater Noida

Greater Noida: For the approximately one million residents of Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Authority area, there is good news. It is anticipated that 500 city e-buses would shortly start operating in these regions. Two businesses have been chosen by the government to operate buses on 25 routes. From 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, these buses will run every ten minutes, with connections to Noida International Airport. The buses will run for 12 years as part of this ₹675 crore initiative.

The operation responsibilities have been divided between two businesses. Delbus Mobility Private Limited would run 12-meter-long buses at a rate of 67.99 rupees per kilometer, while Travel Time Mobility India Private Limited will run 9-meter-long buses at a rate of 54.90 rupees per kilometer, according to SP Singh, General Manager (NTC) of Noida Authority. On Monday, the price bid was opened in order to choose these two businesses. Eight businesses in all took part in the Request for Proposal (RFP). The Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model will govern how the buses are operated.which will include 300 buses in Noida, 100 in Greater Noida, and 100 in the Yamuna Authority area. The project will consist of 250 standard floor 12-meter buses and 250 standard floor 9-meter buses. Each bus will need to operate 72,000 kilometers annually and 200 kilometers daily. The estimated operating cost is 72 rupees per kilometer.

Partnership of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna AuthorityA Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been formed between Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Authority (YIDA) for the operation of buses, in which Noida will have a 48% equity stake, and Greater Noida and Yamuna Authority will each have a 26% stake. This shareholding may be modified if necessary.Facilities and Charging for BusesThis project worth ₹675 crore includes the cost of e-buses, 240 kW fast chargers, plants, equipment, and depot maintenance. For the tender, an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹1.75 crore will be required for 12-meter AC buses and ₹1.25 crore for 9-meter buses.
City bus service will operate on these major routes:• From Sector 12-22 to KASNA via Nithari, Kulesra, Habibpur, Surajpur Collectorate• From Botanical Garden Metro Station to Dadri Bus Stop via Surajpur• From Sharda University to Sharda University via Kasna Village• From Shashi Chowk to Ais City-Pari Chowk to Jewar Airport via Rabupura• From Botanical Garden Metro Station to Depot Metro Station via Greater Noida Authority• From Tigri Roundabout to Rajnighandha Chowk• From Noida Stadium to Veer Savarkar Chowk• From Ek Murti Chowk to GBU Gate Number-1• From Botanical Garden to Sampurnam Greno West• From Dadri to GBU via Kasna• From Sector 90 to Sector 52 Metro• From Birla Institute to Sector 62• From Botanical Garden to New Delhi Railway Station• From Botanical Garden to ISBT Kashmiri Gate• From Pari Chowk to Anand Vihar Railway Station• From Dadri to Ghaziabad Railway Station.

The public will receive relief. It should be noted that these buses operating on 13 routes in Noida, 9 routes in Greater Noida, and 2 routes in the Yamuna area will cover key locations including the Noida International Airport. This project will prove to be a significant step in making transportation more efficient and environmentally friendly for 1 million people in the area.
