Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to launch the updated Thar 3-door and Bolero Neo in the coming months, although official launch dates have yet to be announced. The 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift was recently spotted with light camouflage, revealing design tweaks and interior upgrades—many of which draw inspiration from the Thar Roxx.
Enhanced Styling
The new Mahindra Thar 2025 will showcase a refreshed exterior with a new grille featuring double-stacked slots and new C-shaped LED signatures in the headlamps and taillamps. Additionally, the SUV will sport newly designed alloy wheels, likely reserved for higher trims, while maintaining the current tyre sizes.

Spy images confirm that the updated Thar will introduce a new 3-spoke electric power steering, replacing the existing hydraulic system. Other premium features include a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, a reverse parking camera, a front armrest, door-mounted power window switches, and grab handles on the A-pillars, all inspired by the Thar Roxx.
Unchanged Engine And Gearbox Options
The 2025 Mahindra Thar facelift will continue to be powered by the existing engine options: a 152bhp 2.0 turbo petrol, a 119bhp 1.5L turbo diesel, and a 132bhp 2.2L turbo diesel. Transmission options will also remain the same, with a 6-speed manual (standard) and a 6-speed torque converter automatic (available only with the 2.2L diesel variants).
What Are The Price Expectations
According to GST reports, the current 3-door Thar has seen a price reduction of up to Rs 1.35 lakh, now ranging between Rs 10.31 lakh and Rs 16.60 lakh. With the addition of more premium features and styling upgrades, the 2025 Thar facelift is anticipated to have a slight price increase.
